Whole-Home Repiping

Repiping replaces your home's failing supply lines, old galvanized steel or recalled polybutylene, with modern PEX-A/PE-RT (or Type-L copper, if you prefer). Diamond Plumbing repipes most South Florida homes in 2–3 days, with surgical drywall openings that we patch and texture, so you get reliable pressure and clean water without living in a construction zone.

  • PEX-A/PE-RT
  • Most homes done in 2–3 days
  • Drywall patch & texture included
  • Up to 25-year material warranty

If you have rusty or discolored water, chronic low pressure, pinhole leaks, or a home built before the 1990s with original piping, repiping ends the cycle of one repair after another. Galvanized lines corrode shut from the inside; polybutylene (gray plastic) is prone to sudden failure and was the subject of a major class action.

We re-route fresh lines through the attic and walls, make the smallest openings necessary, restore your water the same day, and patch and texture so your walls look untouched. Most homes are finished in two to three days.

FAQ

Repiping questions, answered

How do I know if my house needs repiping?

Telltale signs are rusty or discolored water, repeated pinhole leaks, chronically low pressure, and original galvanized or polybutylene piping in a pre-1990s home. If you're fixing leaks every few months, repiping is usually cheaper than the running repairs.

PEX-A, PE-RT, or copper: which should I choose?

We install modern PEX-A and PE-RT, flexible pipe that resists Florida's hard-water scaling and corrosion, with PE-RT our default recommendation for most repipes. Copper is rigid, time-proven, and still available if you prefer it. All are excellent; we'll recommend based on your home, budget, and how long you plan to stay.

How long does a whole-home repipe take?

Most South Florida homes are repiped in 2–3 days, including drywall patching. You'll have water restored at the end of each work day.

Do you repair the walls after repiping?

Yes. Drywall patch and texture are included so your walls are returned to a finished, paint-ready state. We don't leave you with open holes.
